Checklist used when Replacing Lost Titles

6. | Statutory declaration by the registered proprietors of the land | Section 33(2) of the Land Registration Act |
7. | Caution to prevent dealings in land | Section 77 of LRA. |
8. | Notice in two local dailies of nationwide circulation | Section 33 (3) LRA |
9. | Payment of the prescribed fee for publication in the Kenya Gazette | Section 33 of LRA |
The Registrar may then issue a duplicate certificate of title or certificate of lease upon the expiry of sixty days from the date of publication in the Gazette or circulation of the newspapers.
